So recently I came back from my summer vacation where I went to Montreal, Toronto and Cincinnati. The best part of the trip- photographically speaking- is when I went to the Cincinnati Zoo and took photos of the wonderful birds that were there. My personal favorite is the owl photo, especially its eye!
So club rush was today at my college. Guess what? There's no photography club! Of any kind! So I'm trying to get a group of people together to try to make one! The worst thing that could possibly happen is that I get a group of people together and take photos. Which I did yesterday! These photos are spawn from that adventure. It was a lot of fun. There's a gigantic garden area with plants, turtles, ducks, and alike near where my dorm is so I shall be going very often! One of my friends took a photo of me taking a photo of a small leaf, which is the first one in the gallery
Spiders scare me. Spiders scare me a lot. From what I have gathered from friends and family, this fear seems to be relatively normal. However, ever since I got my macro lens I seem to be taking more and more photos of spiders. I have absolutely no idea why but for some strange reason when I have a camera between the spider and I, they're not so frightening. Now I am growing to appreciate these eight legged creatures and I must say the way they move is very interesting! They're still scary though.
Yesterday I had the experience of shooting in RAW for the first time. I realize that I am late to this party, but it was interesting to get used too. This was the first photo I took in RAW, a simple leaf in my backyard. The act of importing and editing is very different that what I am accustomed to although I did eventually start getting used to it. The best way I can describe this experience is writing with my left hand when I am right handed. My business cards just arrived in the mail today. If you are brought to this website because of them, welcome! Hopefully with these I will garner more attention to my work. Well, this photo was once again taken in Montreal. There was a tree right outside my parking spot and this leaf looked so sharp in contrast to the other leaves. I love the orange tip that it has, gives it a nice ending. That trip to Montreal was a great one. |
